Cead mile failte (A hundred thousand welcomes) to Dublin

The International Women’s Club of Dublin was founded in 1981 by Donna Linton and Gail Titus to welcome newcomers and their families to Ireland.

Today the Club has members from more than 45 countries, varying in age, interests, English language fluency, and their expected of stay in Ireland.  Whatever their situation, the Club hopes to help ease their transition into a new country, and to provide opportunities to socialise and to learn about aspects of Irish life.

The IWC Club Year runs September through June. It is organised by a voluntary committee of around a dozen people, drawn from our membership. The committee changes every year. The President (2011-12) is Annette Assouad (German) who has lived in Dublin for several years.
